Useful, well-proportioned features

A structure can shape how the garden is used

A pergola can frame a seating area, support climbing plants or create a transition between parts of the garden. Gates, screens and raised sleeper beds can solve practical needs while becoming part of the design rather than an afterthought.

We construct timber pergolas and arches, gates, screens, raised beds and seating features to suit the available space. We can also coordinate larger outdoor-living elements such as kitchen or bar areas and garden-room surroundings as part of a wider landscaping project.

Lighting and power can make an outdoor space more useful in the evening. Where electrical work is included, it is completed by a fully qualified electrician and planned alongside the construction so cables and fittings can be integrated neatly.

How we develop garden structures

Designed for its purpose and position

The scale, materials and construction should make sense for the garden, the intended use and the surrounding landscaping.

01

Define the purpose

We discuss how the feature will be used, where it should sit and how it relates to views, sunlight, access and the rest of the garden.

02

Develop the details

The dimensions, materials, foundations, screening, seating, storage and any lighting or power requirements are agreed.

03

Build the structure

Foundations and supporting elements are prepared before the frame, surfaces and permanent details are constructed.

04

Integrate the finish

Paving, decking, planting, lighting and adjoining features are completed so the structure belongs within the whole garden.

What our customers say

Rob and his team have completed this week a complete transformation on one side of my back garden. Extending my patio they did over 10 years ago into an L shape with new sleepers for planting. New fencing and side gate also. It's perfection in every aspect. The design work is excellence.

A very friendly team.

Thank you Rob for creating such an amazing garden in Stockport.

Rob,

This is just to say a huge thank you for agreeing to take on such a difficult project.

It is really very much appreciated, and is a massive improvement and transformation from the previous mess.

Many many thanks

Joe

Dear Rob,

Nadine and I would like to place on record our complete satisfaction for all the work you have done for us over recent years. You have transformed the appearance at the front and turned the rear garden into somewhere that is relaxing to both sit and work in. We can't think of anything more we could ask you to do, unless we move house.
